In 2019 Ilvy Njiokiktjien self-published the book Born Free. The book was designed by Born Free Wilmarie Deetlefs (pictured on the cover while kissing her friend Zakithi).
It is a limited edition book (1994 copies), signed and hand-numbered.
The book is printed on magazine paper, folded like a newspaper, and bound in a hardcover.
